This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu on Friday at a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, in order to assess the state and improve the readiness of military command and control bodies, troops and forces to solve tasks for their intended purpose in all strategic directions, the Russian Defense Ministry continues the practice of conducting unannounced inspections,” the head of the military department said.
According to him, a sudden check has begun in the Far East of Russia. “Today, from 09:00 (Vladivostok time, 02:00 Moscow time), the Pacific Fleet in full force was put on alert and began to bring the Pacific Fleet to the highest degree of combat readiness,” Shoigu said.
